The secret of V-Guard’s success lies in its unique manufacturing model, with small scale manufacturing units scattered across rural India, run by self help groups and charitable organizations and employing mostly women. The Company provides the necessary training, sets up the manufacturing facilities and allows self help groups and charitable organizations to manage the units under the supervision of qualified engineers from V-Guard who monitor everything from raw material procurement to production, packaging and shipping. It is this unique model that Vintes is replicating in the BPO space. Setting up BPOs in places with good availability of women who speak English, Vintes provides training in the soft skills required to be an efficient BPO employee. Tying up with charitable societies that run computer training institutes ensures the availability of a large pool of IT savvy employees. From BPL to BPO
Vintes’ objective is to offer rural women from Below Poverty Line (BPL) a better means of livelihood through the BPO route. We believe that with the low cost structure of our charitable society run units we can create a strong rural BPO movement. In less than a year we have successfully implemented three pilot units in different villages in rural Kerala with a total capacity of 100 seats. The data entry operator’s accuracy has been steadily increasing and our innovative quality checking processes are paying rich dividends. When compared to normal BPOs, our units enjoy the benefit of very low attrition rates.
Vintes has three different business verticals: Knowledge Process Outsourcing (KPO), Data Entry Management and Customized IT Solutions. After pioneering the concept of “Rural” BPOs in Kerala where most of our data management centers are located, Vintes has forayed into higher end BPO or KPO engagements such as providing outsourced financial accounting services.
